PLANNED FEATURES

PLANNED HUB WORLDS AND LEVELS

I plan to finish my two HUB worlds.

The level featured within the Cheropie Demo will be in the final game as a level within an arcade machine.

In the final product, the arcade machines will serve as a portal to the game's various levels which take place in virtual reality.

Some arcade machines will require you to use your keys to unlock them.

I plan to make at least 5 more levels for the game, similar to the one in the Cheropie demo.

The level featured in the demo is the introduction to the wormholes, to serve as a baseline to be built off of.

It features 4 maps woven with wormholes.

The wormholes are color coded, telling you if you are moving horizontally, vertically or diagonally through higher-dimensional space like in the diagram below:

Level 1.png

I want to make a level that takes this concept and expands upon it, adding four additional worlds and a new direction the wormholes can take you in like the diagram below.

Level 2.png

There are different ways I could implement the wormhole mechanics, like in the diagram below where worlds connect in a single direction only.

A 'Snakes and Ladders' style implementation where you can only move up one level at a time or return to world 1.

An implementation like this could be used to create a sense of progression, perhaps with a boss fight of some sort once you reach world 8.

A world like this would also be a good racing level, where perhaps the car could race all the way from world 1 to world 8.

Level 3.png

I want to implement a level that makes World 1 the central wormhole hub, with all levels accessible from World 1 only like in the diagram below.

Level 5.png

I want to implement a level where all the wormholes take you to a random world instead of having a specific destination, like in the diagram below.

Level 6.png

And I want to make a level where I take the usage of wormholes to an extreme, creating a setup like the diagram below.

Level 7.png

I also want to create some challenge levels that don't use wormhole mechanics and just focus on a specific game mode or challenge, like a race or perhaps a boss battle.

I also wanted to create a secret 'corrupted' level that the player could access by shooting an arcade machine as Noan before entering it.

And I want to design a level that doesn't feature wormholes but instead features a gimmick where the entire map get's rotated.

I want this level to be similar to the famous artwork Relativity by Mc Escher

I also want to create a level that is time travel themed, featuring multiple time periods that the player can transition between.

I also want to make a level that focuses heavily on the impossible 'bigger on the inside' geometry, and create a hyper-dimensional maze of impossible geometry.
